Rain Cladding during rain
In a rain cladding system at the time of installation what if it rains and partially installed then what happens? Is it safe to apply / install after before, during or after rain?

Hi Shash,
When istalling a rainscreen firestop application, 25mm should be left open between the end of the cavity and the cladding to allow the rain and wind to go through without any effect or damage for the cavity barrier installed.
Once a fire occurs and temperatures goes up, the intumescent tape present on the edge of the cavity barrier will expand and close the 25mm gap to prevent the chimney effect.
