Façade sealant - Why apply only to top?
Why is the sealant spray for the fire protection only applied to the top of the mineral wool? What happens to the underside of the mineral wool? Is it visible from the lower floor?

Hi Jacques,
Testing has shown that the 1,6mm thickness required is usually enough when applied on top of the slab. But, usually it is also easier to apply from the top than from the soffit of the slab. The mineral wool is typically not visible from the lower slab because of bulkheads and ceilings, but the spray can still be applied at the soffit if needed.
