Façade - Direction of Insulation Fibres
Cann you please explain what should be the direction of insulation fibres for the fire stop material between the slab and curtain wall?

Hi Chandre,
the mineral wool board comes in 1200mmx600mm and in different thickness. the compression will happen when the thickness of the board is compressed and this is the way that it should be installed inside the gap ; So if we cut a section along the slab, we will find the fibers in the gap installed in the vertical direction.
In addition, if we try to compress in any other direction, it will be difficut to install and you will find shapes of wave forming and the rockwool breaking due to the wrong installation.
