Dear Azarudeen,

Thanks for your question.

BIM is a method of sharing information between different stakeholders before, during and after a construction project. It transforms the way of designing and building, but also the maintenance and operation once it is finished. With BIM, the important information is accessible and can be used during the operation. Some of the benefits are better use of space, effective maintenance and energy analysis, savings in retrofits and renovations and total improvement of the lifecycle management. (1)

You can check the articles from BIMobject and Autodesk for more information:
(1) https://www.bimobject.com/en/news/articles/lifecycle-bim-and-facility-management
(2) https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/www/solutions/bim/BIM_for_Owners.pdf

In Hilti, we use BIM to collaborate with the project stakeholders for the fastening of MEP systems and fire protection and to design optimized solutions, unlock time saving, cost reductions, and safety improvements, along the whole workflow. We support our customers through various use cases such as design optimization, pre-fabrication, advanced logistics, BIM to field, validation and field to BIM.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,

Mark Reyes
